DescriptionI've always loved writing poetry and when I started taking singing/piano lessons that turned into loving to write lyrics & come up with melodies. I've written several sets of lyrics that I believe with the right guidance and critique could be great songs. I typically write to express emotions and make sense of my thoughts and feelings so all of my poetry/lyrics are about emotional topics but I'd love to explore other avenues of writing as well. I also aspire to pick back up an instrument and work on my singing skills soon so that I can contribute to other parts of songwriting as well. I'm hoping to find a mentor or experienced collaborator that is enthusiastic about helping beginners improve their skills and knowledge in songwriting and musicians who are interested in writing music that goes with lyrics or have music that needs lyrics. My favorite artists/influences are Hayley Williams, Amy Lee, Bjork, Linkin Park, and Tori Amos. I love very dramatic intense music like the album Synthesis by Evanescence and would love to write something complex and beautiful like so. But I also love lighthearted fun music (especially those with lyrics on emotional topics such as the After Laughter album by Paramore) so I'm open to any genre/mood.

Dreams & AmbitionsThere's a unique feeling I've only felt a few times in my life and that has happened with collaborating with other songwriters and musicians. It feels like we're all pouring out our hearts & souls, mixing them together, and that mix creates not only a beautiful sound but an indescribable energy. Feeing that feeling is what I dream of. I'd also love to complete at least one EP of songs that I'm proud of, not to sell or get attention for but just to have and hold.
